Refreshment

One thing about storms – you can count on there being some refreshment in them.  This weekend I attended our church’s Ladies Retreat (VCCC) and was refreshed with fellowship, worship, learning about the body of Christ His church and with good food.  One of the songs we sang was not new, but I appreciated the lyrics anew.  I’ve copied them here in case they’re refreshing to you as well (and my youtube playlist has it, see next post for link).  It’s “Hide Away in the Love of Jesus” and in between the verses I’ve typed below, repeats the title as the refrain.

Come weary saints though tired and weak;  Your strength will return by His quiet streams

Come wand’ring souls and find your home;  He offers the rest that you yearn to know

Come guilty ones weighed down with sin;  The freedom you long for is found in Him

Come hopeless hearts do not despair;  For ten thousand joys await you there…

Hide away in the love of Jesus.
